Invisalign

Dr. Christopher Henes can help you take the first step towards getting the radiant smile you deserve with Invisalign® clear aligners. With Invisalign, you can straighten your teeth without anyone around you being the wiser. Invisalign treatment involves a series of clear, removable aligners designed to gradually improve your alignment and bite. These aligners can be changed out weekly to gain the results you are looking for. This means you won’t have to shy away from the camera while you’re undergoing treatment, and you won’t have to inconvenience yourself by drastically altering your oral healthcare routine. Invisalign® uses the most advanced technology available in dentistry today, employing a series of comfortable, removable, transparent aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.

Invisalign has been proven to treat the following cases:

Generally Straight Teeth

Maybe your back molars are straight but your front teeth are a little crooked. Just because your teeth might be a little crooked doesn’t mean you have to live your life fearful of smiling. Invisialign has been proven to take care of this.

Overbite

When your upper teeth overlap your bottom teeth too much and there is a space between the two. Also, with an overbite you might not be able to see your bottom teeth.  With the help of invisalign we can achieve wonderful results without the use of a metal wire and brackets.

Underbite

When your lower teeth protrude your top teeth. When you smile you might see more of your bottom teeth than your top teeth. With using Invisaligns clear aligners we are able to correct this bite to give you the smile you always wanted.

Crossbite

When your upper and lower jaws don’t properly line up together.  Ideally, your top teeth should overlap your bottom teeth. If the reverse is happening you might have a crossbite.  If you think you have a crossbite and want to see if Invisalign can correct this, Dr. Christopher Henes offers free consults for all invisalign cases.

Gap Teeth

This is when you have excessive space between your teeth. Gaps between your teeth can cause patients to be self-conscious along with being a food trap. These gaps and spaces can be corrected with the use of Invisalign.

Open bite

This is when you bite and your back teeth touch and your front ones are still open. Using Invisalign can help correct this open bite so that when you close your mouth you don’t have any opening of your front teeth.

Crowded teeth

This is when your top and bottom teeth are not only crooked but also crowded. A good way of thinking about this is that there isn’t enough room for your current teeth. Using Invisalign’s clear aligns we are able to expand both arches to help with your crowded teeth and to make room for your teeth when you originally thought you didn’t have enough space.

Here's how it works:

  • Before treatment begins, Dr. Christopher Henes maps out a detailed, individualized treatment plan for each patient. Part of that plan includes a digital 3D representation of how your teeth will shift during treatment.

  • At your first appointment composite buttons will be bonded to your teeth. These buttons are actually the same material we use for fillings.  In combination with Invisalign’s clear aligners these buttons will grab your tooth / teeth to be able to put the forces needed to move your teeth. Also, these buttons help us achieve the end results we are looking for.

  • During treatment, Invisalign® works seamlessly with your lifestyle. For best results, aligners should be worn between 20 and 22 hours every day. However, they are virtually invisible, so most people won’t notice you are wearing them.

  • The Invisalign® aligners are also removable, so you can eat and drink normally. You also remove them to brush and floss, helping you to maintain fresh breath and good oral hygiene. Because there are no metal brackets or wires, you will experience less mouth irritation with Invisalign® than with traditional braces.
You will see Dr. Henes about once every 4 to 6 weeks during treatment, but the appointments are a short duration because there are no metal or wire adjustments. Most adults wear the aligners about 12 months, but treatment time for teenage patients varies. After treatment, most doctors recommend using a retainer after treatment. These retainers help keep your teeth in place and prevent them from moving back to their original space.  Every case is different, though, so talk to Dr. Christopher Henes about your specific situation.
